About Lesley
Lesley McLauchlan Dip(BCNH), M.BANT, Consultant in Nutrition, initially studied Food and Nutrition in the late 1970s. She subsequently completed the 3.5 year Diploma Course in Nutrition and Health, at the renowned British College of Nutrition and Health in London, after spending much of her career within the food industry.
Lesley's nutrition consultancy helps adults and children alike to make healthy food choices. As well as giving general nutritional advice, she regularly holds one-day workshops in both the private and public sector on how to improve health in the workplace. In addition, she is registered with the Food and Mood Project (helping individuals with mental health problems such as Alzheimers, Anxiety and Depression (www.foodandmood.org). Lesley also belongs to the Satellite Network of Practitioners called Nourish, an organisation that helps couples prepare for conception, pregnancy and birth (www.nourish-fertility.com).
She has a special interest in children's health, notably with behavioural problems such as ADD/ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders, a subject on which she has completed extensive research work. Lesley has taken part in several radio and TV interviews on the subject of child nutrition for the London College of Communications

Lesley also oversees the catering and menu planning at Glenesk School in Surrey (www.glenesk.co.uk). In 2004, the school were the first in the UK to have a totally Organic menu, and as a direct result of this, Lesley came runner-up in the Best School Dinner in Britain Awards, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph and Waitrose.
